moved my two-seater to my dining area. :-) i like moving things around. it kinda gives the space a different vibe. :-)
ondoy did more than flooded my house, it erased captured memories. i’ve lost a lot of pictures after ondoy. wished i scanned them all before it happened. this is me with my siblings and cousins in front of a church in manila
my house is my heart <3
saw an old pic of my house in 2006. my mom made those throw pillows and couch slip cover. the wall matches the pillows. the passion for home interiors i definitely got from my mom. i remember my mom would always make our curtains, couch slip covers and rearrange the furniture from time to time. she did a lot of DIY stuff. if only i know how to sew like her. we had numerous talks about my house renovations. i even gave her a house tour through facetime. she’s coming home from new york this december. i’m excited to personally show her what i did with our place. i hope she approves. :-)
this is my dirty kitchen. renovated it in 2011. i had a lot of extra floor tiles when i renovated in 2009 after ondoy ( and still had a lot after doing this that i had to give it away ). it took me two years to decide to put these tiles halfway up and all around its walls. i also replaced the old window, got a new sink and a new faucet to match. i even added beams to the ceiling. not bad, right? i think i did well. :-)
was rummaging through my hard drive and i saw this series of pictures i took in 2008. this was my house before ondoy. this was me then.
random things around the house. my favorite B plate. my architecture lego collection. my wooden mini soccer player bowling pin set from muji. my framed name - white frame from ikea. and a souvenir postcard from my taiwan trip last year. :-)
last year we had our annual big family christmas party in my house. we prepared baskets of goodies and cash as giveaways. we also celebrated mama’s birthday even though she’s in new york. It was a lot of fun!
